A somewhat serious question about Box Gundam

Ok, I will happily admit, I'm no stranger to the Box Gundam deal. Hell, for that last 2 years at EPAC (for those that don't know, that's El Paso Anime Con) that's what I've been doing. And on my take, it has evolved from a simple box with Gundam written on it. This years model actually sported a set of wings, and some danger symbols along the box. Keep in mind, I don't do this to win anything. I do it for the lulz, and the fact that people actually dig it because it's different and unique. For the next convention year, I'm planning on adding more, like legs, and some interesting arms. One particular feature is a shield cannon that I'm still working on, and that's pretty much a beast, with a length of 4 feet. As for the other arm, I have no ideas yet, but I'm sure I'll come up with something.

But down to business. Is this alright to keep doing a box gundam, even though I make significant improvements to the original? Because trust me, I'm having fun with this, and while most people's thoughts don't really bother me, is there a time that I should quit the box gundam for sure?

Yeah, any kind of gundam owns, even if your entire cosplay is made out of coke bottles. (PS don't do that!)

Well, it's decided.
I've decided to embrace Box Gundam for as long as I might cosplay. And hopefully, in a couple weeks time, I can unveil to the world that is the epicness of the Epic Sword!

(yeah, can't have a Awesome Rifle because the cons down here are pretty anal about any kind of firearm prop.)

Although I love it when poeple do actually Gundam cosplays I still love seeing a box Gundam. It was actually the first gundam (mecha/character) cosplay I'd ever seen in person at my first anime con. So it holds a special place in my heart. I think your idea of modifying it is awsome. I wish I could see you in person.

the box gundam is funny because it has almost no effort put into it what so ever, its the most simple representation of something mechanical. adding custom legs or weapons takes away from its humor, but that's my opinion.
