Fake Teeth

-squirms-
Okay, I did do a search, but nothing seems very relevant for me...

Well, my problem isn't getting the teeth- it's the fact that I drool like a hellhound when I wear them. They're a little big and so I can't close my mouth properly.
So instead of having to visit the bathroom every five seconds as to not create a wet patch on my cosplay, does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to how I might stop drooling?

Hah. This is the most awkward question I have ever asked in my life.

Well, what sort of teeth are you wearing? If they're really that oversized, you might just have to get smaller ones. Keeping your mouth opened for hours on end will pretty much make anyone drool like a hungry dog. =F

Are they too *long* for you to close your mouth? If it's an issue of fang length, and not just bad fit over your teeth, you can try filing them down with an emery board and then polishing the shine back in with some 1000 grit sandpaper. I'm going to assume that these are the kind that are individual caps rather than a big veneer?

Ah, no. They're -and yes, I know this was a bad move- made by yours truely out of Fimo.
I would file them down, only they're the length they're supposed to be for the cosplay to look right.

Basically what I'm asking is if there's any other option other than making the teeth smaller. The reason I drool with them in is because there's a teeny gap between the 'base' plate of the teeth and the roof of my mouth. I was thinking about stuffing the gap with those dental cotton buds, but I think I'd just sound like a puffed up marshmallow. :<

........By this point in time those fimo teeth are probably rittled with so much bacteria its a miracle you haven't gotten sick after wearing them the second time D=

If you'd share the design you're needing perhaps people could find you a better solution that is safer. Whether this be buying something or a better way to make them.

Yeaaah. I knew it was a bad idea from the start, but I'm poor. : >
The teeth were for Kuroshitsuji's Grell (see here) but I think there's other threads on options for that. Still, suggestions welcome.

You could get vampire teeth professionally made like a friend of mine had, but that's only if you're willing to spend a lot of money. You may be able to find custom vampire fangs held in with dental silicone:

I've had mixed results with them, but they're worth a try...

The closest premade ones that I know of (non-customs) are dental distortions Minions, unstained.

I've also seen fake nails filed down to points, though these often have a slight transparency to them just under ones natural teeth which im not sure how one would solve.

I wouldn't mind the transparency, only what would I use to fix the teeth/nails in place?
There isn't much in the way of cosplay-friendly stores around here. Heck, we have one material store, and it's teeny.

I'm not sure if you're looking for a set for both upper and bottom, but I know of a reasonably priced, upper set site you can go to. I used them for my Soul Eater cosplay, and they are fairly easy to fit to you and maintain.

If you spend a couple minutes checking out the site, it provides a lot of info on teeth/mouth size you'd need to get, how to take that measurement at home (really easy as well), how to fit it to you when you receive your teeth, etc.

http://www.drbukk.com/bukkstyles.html

They also ship pretty fast, so that shouldn't be a worry, either :3
Hope it helps!
