How to Nightwing?

Hello, Im new to this forum and I'm not 100% sure where I should have posted this, but this seemed like the best place.

I wanted to construct a Nightwing suit from Arkham City. Only problem is, I have no idea how to do anything or what to make it out of. I'm sure if I knew the material I should make it out of I could probably figure it out or look for guides to help but I'm a little lost.
So could someone at least tell me what to make the suit out of?
I am will to put as much time as I have to in order to make this look right.

Links to tutorials or how to's on crafting and shaping would be much appreciated as well.

Thank you for any help.

This is what the suit looks like, for anyone that has never seen it.

That is a tricky (though awesome) costume. Personally, I would probably scour eBay and such for a pre-made jumpsuit that fit the bill and then sew all the muscle lines on. The darker ones, like on his thighs, I would probably use bias tape (or maybe black elastic, depending on the elasticity of the base), and then the ones that define his abs could be done with just thread. If you really want to make your own jumpsuit to start, I recommend creating an ask thread in the Fabrics subforum. Those guys really know what they're talking about when it comes to starting from scratch.
I do commissions! Check out my page at https://www.facebook.com/EeBeeCostuming/.

Upcoming projects:
Red & Subject Unknown, Evie & Jacob (Lady and Duke outfits), Cloak & Dagger
