Turning a Hula Hoop into a Weapon?
So I'm going to be making a prop that needs to be based from a hula hoop for it's shape. I just want to know if there are any methods that I could use to add blades onto it?

there are probably many ways, it would really help though if you provided a reference image of what you're trying to make.

Thick Cardboard and hotglue? You can arch the edge of the cardboard so it fits onto the hoop, glue it, then Spraypaint it

What exactly are you trying to make? I mean, for what character/weapon? Do you have a picture? It might help in determining the best materials to use.
I'm trying to make a giant cogwheel out of a hoolahoop, too, for Tira's Joke Weapon from Soul Calibur III. (I'll probably also keep it and use it for a steampunk accessory. xD) I'm thinking cardboard for the pegs and the center bar, and then covering them with something, but I'm not sure what yet.
