Green Lantern Cosplay Question
Hello! I have a question and helpful comments and suggestions are very much appreciated!!! ^___^ Does anybody know a particular cosplay store who is able to create the whole costume and the face mask of Green Lantern? Or if its in regards to just the mask, how would such a mask be made? For instance what sort of material would be effective? Thank you very much!

I don't know any stores, BUT you could check out the marketplace, tons of people there would probably be willing to commission you one with your measurements then going and buying one that doesn't fit you. :]

Which version of the Green Lantern? Since you're talking about a mask I'll assume it's Alan Scott, Hal Jordan or Kyle Rayner and not Guy Gardner or John Stewart.
If making this myself, I'd try to find a masquerade mask, especially if you're doing an Alan Scott or Hal Jordan mask. White or clear would be good a good color, as you could then spray paint it. A masquerade mask would also work well for the base of a Kyle Rayner mask, though you'd need to mod it. I'd probably make a cardboard base and cover it with leather or pleather fabric. |

Hello KillaBeeSwarm, thank you so much for the helpful suggestion! The Green Lantern cosplay is kyle rayner, the one where he is wearing the white gloves.

Ok, I found I pic of Kyle Rayner as GL.
http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/ma...Rayner_002.jpg If this is the one you mean then that one I linked looks a little small. Maybe get a batman cowl and cut down to shape and use spirit gum to attach? |

Spirit Gum is a liquid adhesive used to apply prosthetics to your skin. Very useful stuff, but be sure to buy the remover as well, or you'll be left with a residue on your skin when you remove it.
As for the mask itself, I highly recommend http://www.xtremedesignfx.com/eyefacewear.htm They do amazing work, and they already have a template for the very mask you are looking for. |

Indymogul recently released a tutorial on how to do superhero mask. having followed their instructions, all I can say is 'man does it work!'.
EDIT: Here's the link. Hope it works out for you. ![]() http://www.indymogul.com/backyardfx/...al-backyard-fx

Ahhh this helps me quite a bit since I've been thinking about doing a random Green Lantern for Fan Expo in August and I would like to buy or make the costume but, it's kinda hard to find something already made for a women's body. Y_Y I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions? Thanks!
