Cosplaying Totoro and Friends
My two siblings and I are planning on cosplaying as Totoro and the mini-totoros. This will be the first cosplay for the three of us and we are hoping for the best. I was hoping for some help or methods we could go about creating the main body since I'm not sure what I could I do about the Totoro's mass. Pillow/stuffing may get far too hot to be bearable but I need something that'll support it. We thought of shoulder-pads to support the whole thing in general while remaining hollow inside but how to give off the 'fullness' that is Totoro in a suit. So any helpful ideas on what to do or where we can find some good materials to use would be helpful, thank you~! If all else fails we'll bear the heat of a 'padded' suit.

well if your new to the whole sewing thing you might want to try something a little more simple like:
http://www.cosplay.com/photo/2344919/ orhttp://www.cosplay.com/photo/2337803/ http://www.cosplay.com/photo/967710 /. these are really well done totoro's without the worry of heat and all. but if you really wanna do the whole large suit, search for mascot threads or web sites good luck
