[FMA] Scar cosplay help needed (tattoo and white hair)
Hey guys, i'm kinda new to this whole cosplay thing so i need a few tips for my costume. (I'm sorry i really don't know where to post this)
First i need a suggestion for a type of pen (or technique) i could use to make fake tattoo that wouldn't melt off with sweat or wiped off on contact. I'm cosplaying as scar from FMA so i'm making his gigantic tattoo Next i need a cheap way to color my hair white without the use of hair dye. Something cheap but reliable (as much as possible anyway) Thanks for tolerating my... ignorance on this whole matter guys |

The tattoo would probably be easiest to do as a flesh-coloured sleeve with the designs drawn on in fabric paint/sharpie.
For the scar, you want stage make-up. Draw it on and fill it in with the colour of the scar, then pick a colour a few shades lighter than your skin for highlighting the edges to make it look sunken in. It takes a bit of practice, but it's really not hard.

Liquid latex is your best bet for the scar: http://stageandtheatermakeup.com/effects.htm
You can do all different things with it. Including this: http://www.cosplay.com/photo/1754982/. But, look up a bunch of techniques and decide which one works best for you. If you don't want to go with a wig, Ben Nye's Snow White hair color should do the trick: http://www.fxsupply.com/bn_catalog/b...99477dc e1de1 As far as tattoos go, I've seen sharpie work but it's not the best to use on skin. Ben Nye Magicake works really well when painted on wet, given time to dry, and then set with powder: http://www.fxsupply.com/bn_catalog/bn_magicake.html
