Question One armed cosplay anyone?

Hey you guys!

I'm planning to do a Malik (Assassin's Creed) cosplay this summer, some might know, he's only got one arm. ._.

Here are some references of him:
And a fanart, just 'cause the other pictures aren't very detailed...:

Does anyone have some tips on how to fake a cut off-arm?

Thankful for answers!

My first guess is to bind your arm to your chest under the shirt since you'll be wearing a jacket it would be a little harder to notice you have an arm under there! Remember to make the shirt large enough that it's not TOO big and baggy since that would look odd, but don't have it too form fitting that you can see the arm bound to your side. Another way is to just have the arm not bound to the body but just hiding under the jacket as if you just pulled your arm out of the jacket hole and in-between the jacket and shirt. This way you can make use of your arm when not taking pictuers! =D The jacket looks big enough that you'd be able to pull off both if it's made like in the pictures. =)

I'm also going to be cosplaying as Malik at Anime Boston this year.

What I'm going to do, is have my arm just underneath the cloak. That way, I'll be preventing any discomfort when walking around. What I'm going to do for inside of his one-armed sleeve, is have a piece of styrofoam in the shape of the top of an arm. Just for the lulz. And I'm going to have a string attached to it so I can have it lift up and down.
His jacket is long enough to hide a full-length arm, so that's what I'll be doing and my arm is going to be under a piece of fabric so it won't accidentally show up in any photos...

I /already/ cosplay Malik and I just stick my arm under the overcoat. It's not a big deal and it's a lot more convenient that binding it down. Plus, use of arm.
