Is DAS clay lightweight?

I'm trying to make the hats/armbands/belt for a cosplay of mine coming up, and I can't seem to find Paperclay or any of that at our local Spotlights... I'm going to this town on the weekend and I recall seeing DAS clay so I want to use that, but is it lightweight enough to wear as a hat or belt? Heat's not really a problem for me, though I do live in Australia and it's hot *disgruntled mutters*
..yeah, anyway. Any help would be much appreciated! ^_^"

I've not used DAS myself, but it LOOKS very similar to paperclay. As long as it's fairly thin, I would think you can make wearables out of it. It looks like it's water soluble after drying, like paperclay, so definitely seal it with something waterproof if you intend to wear it somewhere hot that you'll be sweating on it.

DAS is not lightweight and not user friendly like paperclay. I tried some of the teracotta color because it was on sale, I ended up tossing most of it because it turned my hands and everything it touched bright orange.

For me, it's worth paying the extra for paperclay.

Ah, okay. Yeah, I have some waterproof gloss spray and I was intending to use that anyway, so thanks for the advice. I'll go today and see if they have any in stock. ^_^

Yes, I've heard the terracotta isn't very good but some people say the white is okay...
