I live in Northants but getting a bus to the neighbouring county isn't too much of a problem! Man, I think I am the only cosplayer in a ten mile radius of my home town. xD;;;

I know right! It can get pretty isolating as all I want to do is meet like-minded people but where I live all everyone cares about is going to the pub, then at work all my colleagues are in relationships and many have kids and it's... stifling.

This is where America totally trumps us; I went to A-kon last weekend, my third time there... and it was wonderful. Even out of the con, like at the malls and what-have-you, you are bound to bump into someone who knows what you are talking about and who can geek with you, even for a few minutes. As said earlier I'm pretty much the only cosplayer and the only one into anime and manga in my home town and nearby. It's... lonely and at the same time, irritating. I just want to be a nerd, dammit!

I'm seriously considering going to Kitacon next year, as I'm used to just being a regular to London Expo, so it'd be nice to go to a "proper" anime convention for once. (As close as you can get here in the UK, anyway.)

I can't go to Kitacon, as it has an age restriction *sad face* though I do have three friends that enjoy cosplay, they aren't into the same fandoms as me (Card Captor Sakura, Shikabane Hime, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumia, Vampire Knight ect...)

My fandoms? Pokemon always and forever; not gonna lie on that! I'm also very fond of Bleach and Rosario + Vampire, as well as Sonic, Kingdom Hearts, pre-timeskip Naruto, Spice and Wolf (( TRUCK YEAH HOLO )) and a little bit of Death Note and Gintama. Haruhi Suzumiya used to be a big love of mine.

I'm skint and I completely blame A-kon for that but damn, it's a great convention and I love Dallas as a city, too. It was worth it.

When I do get some cash I'm gonna try getting together a Kris (( Blue haired female protag of Pokemon Crystal )) cosplay, as well as Rukia Kuchiki in her school uniform. When, however, is the key word. 8|a
