I'm plus size due to my height haha (I'm 6'8, but I work out now to where I'm overweight due to muscle). Everything I seem to make either has layers or is a super huge coat, and the prices for that much fabric is insane sometime.

Another plus-sized cosplayer here! I mainly do Star Wars, and one sweet thing about Jedi robes is that they tend to be forgiving of many different body types. As long as the robes are well-fitted, they look good on just about anyone big or small. But I do want to get down to a smaller size- it's so annoying having to re-draft patterns to make them fit, and on top of that having to shorten the hell out of them because pattern companies assume that if you're plus sized, you must also be incredibly tall!

I joined up at the YWCA. It costs 30 dollars a month, but you can go in there whenever you want to and swim, exercise, weight lifting.. the other day on thursday I went in there and did water exercising, and it really helped me out!

I work out on Wii Fit for 30mins or 1 hour. I started that last month and I went to the Doctor on Thursday(I woke up with a bad throat)and check my weight and I lost 6 pounds.

The REAL secret is "Just eat small". You can still eat anything you want just watch your portions.

Congrats Chibi. ^^ I'm also on a diet since December and I have lost 22 pounds and gone from a size 16/18 last year to a 14 currently. I know your pain guys, I hate seeing pictures of myself in cosplay that show my lack of waist or my face so round.

The best things I have discovered for giving you a different shape and getting rid of the stomach tire (I need to do sit-ups baaaadlyyy)
1. Corsette! Just make sure it's a super good quality one made for really cinching you.
2. Girdle. This is great for fixing the tummy without changing your chest
3. Compression shirt. I strongly suggest Underworks.com for this. These are great for female-to-male cosplays.
