Black Rock Shooter Fabric choice

Would any one like to make a fabric suggestion about BRS's long flowing hooded cloak? Please and thank you.

I'm having trouble picking out fabric for this coat as well. I'm doing BRS Kaito, and I have no idea what to do here.

I'm honestly thinking that vinyl would be good.

I used synthetic microsuede for my jacket. It has a nice weight overall, and billows/flows when there's wind |D
It was also nice because it wasn't overly expensive, at $7.99/ yd at the local Yardage Town.
My first fabric choice was a heavier, more expensive suitlining that didn't really work out at all.

If you'd like to go the figure - look route, you could probably use vinyl, but in my opinion that look is good for ... well, toys. You could try pleather, which has a bit more of a matte look (but still has some shine to it) and drapes /flows better.

Hope that helps : D

Black Rock Shooter Coat

I saw your pictures and they look great! That microsuede looks like a nice fabric to use.

Did you use a sewing pattern to make your coat? If So which pattern?
