Since we have a few started and there are so few of us here ~ it would seem to make sense to keep tabs in one place.

If you want to be added, removed or to add an event of your own, just post ^^/

I'm going with a group to summer Comiket : ) and we plan to do a Axis Powers Hetalia Group cosplay. Anyone is welcome to join. ^^ and we're all coming from Misawa.

And you'll see me going around as Princess Zelda, and TnC Shiki.
It's gonna be hot, but hey I survived worse heat weathers before lolz

Stick me down as a definite possibility for Lightning, I'm definitely going to try and get that going for TGS. I'll also probably be at the summer Comiket, right now the loose plan is for Sakura from CCS, but we'll see how that goes.

Added you guys.

uptil> I'll add you to the yorusuta list if you decide you're going. There's plenty of time to decide

xtrishax>Who are you cosplaying? Do you want any others listed in your group?

Also, be careful planning your costumes for Comiket ~ military-style Hetalia uniforms are banned from most public events since they can potentially fall under a Japanese law against "impersonating public servants". You should be okay as long as you avoid the military uniforms (ie. America's aviator jacket, the traditional country costumes, the Asian countries' costumes, etc. are all okay). But might be a good idea to avoid anything with a legit military look.

Comiket rule book -
http://www.comiket.co.jp/info-p/C77/C77change.pdf

(the Hetalia rule comes under the restrictions on "uniforms" on p 21)

Yes yes. I know about the rules. : ) I've been to comiket before, and so has a friend of mine. So we got it. I don't know if they want to be on the list right now. But I'll be going as Italy.

It never hurts to double-check.

Edited.

So long as it doesn't say "Police" on it or isn't an official Japanese uniform currently in service you're good to go.

Military and police cosplay is very popular at comiket. I've seen people in 100% legit current issue Thai police uniforms there before. Usually one or two people wearing US service dress uniforms (although more common in winter for obvious reasons). There's also a group that does historically correct World War II cosplay. I usually spend at least one day with them.

oh, have an add for events. Wonder Festival 2010 (Summer) is a one day event on July 25th being held at Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex in Chiba (so within easy local train distance of Tokyo).

WF is the largest "Garage Kit" (amateur figurine/models made from scratch) convention in Japan. Major companies such as Figma also show up and display new/future releases. The event has come to openly embrace cosplay and prides itself on having the most relaxed restrictions on props for any major convention in Japan. The time I went before people had Air Soft weapons, large home made weapons, and I even saw two bleach cosplayers with actual steel Iado blades and they were unsheathing the swords for photos. Basically, the rules were far looser than any North American con I've ever been to.

Entrance ¥2,000

Official Site (Japanese Only): http://www.kaiyodo.co.jp/wf/index.html
Convention Center Site: http://www.m-messe.co.jp/en/index.html

Sounds like a good time

I'll add it to the list as soon as we have a month to put it under.

Added Yorustar 20 and the WSC Osu Cosplay Parade (it's July 31st, not in August like the event had been previously listed. Adjust schedules accordingly ^^ )

Aaaaand ~ we are stickied ^^/

Thank you, Jia. You are a gentlewoman and a scholar.

WonderFestival (7/25, Chiba) has also been added.
(sorry Tsumanne, I checked the site when you posted and there wasn't a date up, didn't notice you had included it in the original post. I am a bit stupid >.< )
