Wondered first if anyone tried dying wigs with Liquitex's ink. I did that out of a moment of cheapness and a supreme trust in Liquitex products.

If anyone's curious, my loyalty remains intact. It seems like with Liquitex you spend more time rinsing and a little more dye comes out, but it's simple enough to compensate by doing layers of color. The bottles of ink are two dollars cheaper, available where most liiquitex products are carried but come in very random colors with varying levels of opacity (arugh).

But I have the weirdest thing. It seems like after I dye the wig, I let it sit for a day or two and it ...seasons? It gets a bit darker and the wig gets soft again. It's not just drying it, because the wigs are all ready well dried.

Though the strange thing is I mixed FW ink with a little liquitex ink for tint and it behaved the same way. I'm thrilled, now it's the perfect color.

Anyone else got some input on this?

Did you mix it with alcohol or just put the ink on the wig directly?
