Other Boston Cosplay Events?

I keep hearing that there are loads of other anime/cosplay events in Boston aside from AnimeBoston, but I've got no idea what or when.

Any info?

Well, for right now there is one event listed on NE_COSP for the holiday time. Also we have a cosplay gathering/shoot in Plymouth on the 20th. There are a few peps coming down from Boston, you may be able to grab a ride if you were interested in coming http://forums.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=16698

PS. Welcome to the Boston community I know it's wicked late but oh well lol

Someone's gotta organize another Boston cosplay picnic... that looked like a blast, but I'm not out here in the summertime.

(end whine.)

If you're just looking to meet some Anime folks (some of whom cosplay), see some anime, etc., you can check out the MIT Anime Club. You don't have to go to MIT to attend, and it's a good way to see a variety of shows. Also, I believe they're having their annual Halloween Cosplay contest on the 31st...

That should be fun to see. I'll probably be there to see that unless I end up somewhere else with a bunch of other people..

Yeah, MIT's anime showings are a lot of fun -- although I've had difficulty getting down there for the past month to watch some of the stuff they are showing (mainly due to issues with classes at my own school, and trying to get our anime club situated). I haven't decided yet, but I might go in costume to the Cosplay Halloween thing-a-ma-whatchit.

MIT Anime Showings occur on Friday nights, usually from 7:00 to sometime around 12:00 as far as I can tell (at least for this semester it seems). For MIT Anime related events, you can check out that club's website at:

http://anime.mit.edu/

It tells you what series are being shown, etc.

Heh if you do I'll just see ya there then. I might head down there with a couple of people. I missed the last few showings just cause I kept going out. Lucky they got cheap DDR for afterwards.

Just read the posts if you can find them around here or http://trowashrine.tvheaven.com/ne_cosp/ for new england type events. The photoshoots just gotta find out about them on there. Some of the times its a theme based so yeah.. or you can just IM me to find out about events, I'm usually quite updated on these stuff ^_^
