I think "kimono-Sasuke" sounds like an interesting approach.

I've always wanted to crossplay Touda from Yami no Matsuei. But I just read on another blog that even with the Underworks.com chest binders I'll still not be flat enough. I'm buying the Tri-top Chest Binder version.

It's been more than six years that I've lusted after this cosplay. At this point I'm just going to make everything he's wearing and go as a female!Touda if the Tri-top doesn't make me flat. :/

I hope it comes out well both of them, i think the whole super exposed skin thing is overdone, so i will do an overdone character in a new light. =D yay for creativity! I think i am more excited about the Scorpion outfit.

I'm doing a female Xemnas myself, turning his final form coat into a dress. It almost done, but it looks like I might end up showing some cleavage due to the top part being a bit low. I'm not sure if I should leave it, or sew it up a bit more in that area.

I'll be doing fem! Russia from Hetalia sometime soon.
But she has a official design...so it's really not fanmade.

I got the idea after a Tekken Movie last night ^^a

I always love the pants and the glove, maybe I'll and a tank top with similar flame pattern (as its impossible to do it bare chest ^^a)

We've done a female group of male based video game characters in a tasteful and feminine way. I don't see anything wrong with is so long as it's done right, I even draw a line at "sexy" sometimes though because it doesn't always work. Less is usually more in cases like this and I don't mean less clothing lol.

Im working on a female version of Kakashi from Naruto. Not 'sexy', mind you, just female-ified. A friend of mine is going to be regular Kakashi and we'll be the Sharingan pair!
Also doing a female version saves me from binding and 'man-ing' myself up

Check my gallery for my female Kamina cosplay.

I like genderswaps if they're pretty much identical to the original, with a female twist.

Such as mine with a long haired wig, and the waist bandages being chest bandages.
Upcoming Conventions:
SacAnime, Anime LA, Anime Conji

VampireKitten- those are gorgeous and creative! That’s what I like to see in a gender-swapped cosplay. True to the character.

I love Fem cosplays! I do a lot of them myself, and I really like to come up with original concepts as to what the characters might look like if they were their opposite gender. Genderbend cosplays give cosplayers an opportunity to be creative and unique.

I actually did an SnJ Loli-Itachi once. No pictures of it, though, which is a shame because it was pretty good... I should probably wear that one again some time. ^^;

Anyways, I recently did a fem version actually. Not of any specific character though. It was a black mage with a eastern-loli twist. I mean, I suppose a Black Mage doesn't really count as a male character, what since we have characters like Lulu already out there. But most of the original design black mages tend to be male, what with the popularity of 8-bit Theatre so most people tend to cosplay THAT Black Mage. I just wanted to do a Black Mage with my own little twist - no specific character. XD I'm particularly proud of it because I designed it myself, however. ^^
Working On:
Fem!Matsuoka Rin (Free!) - 95%
Kamui (Fire Emblem: Fates) - 42%
Samemi - genderbent Samekichi (Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea) - 66%
Foleo (Fire Emblem: Fates) - planning

I agree. they're fantastic!
Sometimes cosplay is like pie.
People who make pie are awesome.
People who buy pie are pretty cool, too.
If pie is delicious, I will compliment the person serving it to me.
If they made the pie, I will absolutely compliment them on having made it, too.
