Damn, I wanna have a costume for the premiere of this so bad! Luckily for me (sorta) one of my fave singers is doing a female pirate theme, so I might try my hand at that before attempting anything from the movie itself @_@

I'm cautiously optimistic with my expectations of the movie. I think # 3 came dangerously close to dragging out the whole thing too much, buuuuut, I'm still stoked to see it. I will probably have a good time, and, dammit, I'm dressing up in Something ridiculous like I did for all the others!

Though, I think I might do something more generic 18thc than a costume from the movie. It'll still be sweet.

This will be the first Pirates movie that is based on (or at least borrowing heavily from) an existing novel -- On Stranger Tides by Tim Powers. It's a fantastic book, one of my all time top five novels, so when I heard Disney was adapting it for Pirates 4 I was really excited. Definitely read it before the movie if you get a chance!

Keira is in Germany filming "A Dangerous Method" with Viggo Mortensen. She will not be in this film...
much as I love Jack (second only to Sam of my fave Johnny characters) I'm not looking forward to this installment for some reason. I'm still hoping to make my Jack costume. (Power Rangers atm is my priority )

Oh, Jack Sparrow is going to grace whatever theater I'm nearest for the opening.

I think taking the Turners out of the story is a good move. It just fits the story. Their story is up, it's time to focus on Jack a bit more. The only thing that scares me on this is the fact that Gore Verbinski jumped ship. However, I do trust Johnny Depp. If he's still with the project, you know it can't suck all that bad. If he thought it would be bad, he probably wouldn't touch it.

I, too, trust Johnny as well as Geoffrey Rush. I <3 those two immensely.

As for Kiera and Orlando, they both said they're not coming back becuase their characters' story is already done, was finished in At World's End. Honestly, I'm not too broken up about it (they started to annoy me).

I do understand the reason for taking them out, I just hope this film is just as good as the others without them. And true, they were rather irritating.

Just a heads up since filing started a couple weeks ago they've just released the first pics from the sets. Nothing exciting right now from what I saw; just Johnny walking around a beach with the crew scattered around. Hopefully we'll start seeing some of the good stuff soon -crosses fingers for an epic mermaid design-

Personally, I've got my fingers crossed for an epic costume design for Blackbeard's daughter. Being that Penny Rose is back onboard, I have a feeling we won't be disappointed.
