Jedi Robes

My sister and I are making what would be considered generic Jedi robes. But we can't figure out what type of fabric we should use for 1) cloak/robe with hood thing 2) Undertunics 3)tabards

We've been reading natural weaves but...we can't really figure out what exactly we should use or better said (WHAT THE FREAK LOOKS RIGHT) We don't want them to look cheepy cheep. We are making them ourselves with our own patterns ect. So we are going to figure out the build, but any suggestions would be great.
