Difference between cybergoth and cyberpunk?
I took some pictures at Anime North recently, but I'm not sure how to classify them.
Anybody know which of these is cyberpunk, cybergoth, raver, etc? Thanks. http://styleinvasion.com/blog/2011/06/15/cyber-style/ |

For what I know about both, they are pretty much the same, They are futuristic in their clothes, accessories and makeup, but cybergoth most of the time are black and one color, of their choice, blue, orange, pink, red... Cyberpunk are more colorful, they wear a lot of colours, sometimes some don't wear black hum, they wear both dreads falls or hair extensions, but all cyber are different ! Some will wear more than 2 colors, like Black, white and blue ! Oh and the biohazard logo is very used in cybergoth culture ^^
For your pictures, the first one is a cyber goth, the second a cyber punk, third more cyber goth... but they are maybe all ravers, it depends. I hope it helped ![]()

the difference is that the cyber goths are usually wearing all black and probably have a more darker side than the cyber punks. you must be goth? so am i. that's the difference the punks are just the ones with the spiky hair. the cyber goths are cooler.

Your first girl falls heavily into Cybergoth. Your second is what I would consider a candy raver. Your last two guys are pulling from several type of styles (Rave, Industrial, Cybergoth, and Metal). None of these fall into the Cyberpunk category. If you would like an idea of what Cyberpunk is, watch Blade Runner, Johnny Mnemonic, Hackers, or Ghost in the Shell for that matter. The term "Punk" isn't used in the same light as when someone falls into the 80s punk lifestyle or tartan clothing. The wiki page for Cyberpunk is pretty concise.
I consider my style Cyberpunk, it's very minimalist. I wear clean lines, solid colors, hooded or cowl neck (stand up collars). I like harnesses/holsters, tall boots. Sometimes my outfit is Chinese or Japanese inspired, but it looks more futuristic. Occasionally I will wear outfits that mix textures, though still in solid colors. I focus on black and grey. i agree with ellezee
th first is most definitly cybergoth the second candy but the third seem to be confused as to what they are trying to pull of they have multiple diffrent infulences but if i had to catagorize them i would lean towards industrial |
