Curii-chan is currently working on Jack of Blades costume.

I started four months ago, and all I've got is;
Jack & Queen of Blades masks fully clayed. ( Still have to sand them Dx )
Sword of Aeons blade cut out of wood ( Haven't even STARTED on making the handle. It'll kill me. It really will )
And. The armor I have to re-do. This is my THIRD attempt. FHJSHFKS

And I have five months 'til Banzai. GREAT. Dx
The way things are going it looks like I won't finish my costume on time.

But HOPEFULLY I can go buy some more craft foam tomorrow, so I can start on my armor. And maybe my dad will buy me the stuff I need so I can make the King of Blades' mask ; u ; I seriously hope so. ugh.

Minako: Need to put white stripes on the cuffs and iron the skirt, and possibly the shirt.
Louise: Paint medallion, attach ribbons to it, sew snap onto cape and iron skirt.
Saito (for bf): Sew ribbons onto hoodie, maybe glue white fabric to pockets
Miku: Sew straps to dress, possibly hem inner skirt and maybe add some bling.
Need to finish headphones for her and Kaito.
Kaito (for bf): Sew shirt.

I like how it's coming together

I thought everyone of a certain age knew about Xena.

Or maybe that's just a male nerd thing. ¬_¬"

Then maybe it's just the people in Georgia...I usually get blank stares when I talk about it.

Thanks for the warning, was going to work with pleather since it's the cheaper alternative for a pauldron. I'll dish out more money for the actual leather.

While on the topic of fabrics, microsuede is a b***h.

Of course, I immediately Google'd him... Oh my. Sadly, I've seen so many humanxPokémon photos of that nature that I'm becoming a bit immune to them. AshxCharizard will always make me squicky though, as will MayxMissingno. Why that even exists is beyond me. It's always good to share the pain though, haha!

I'm currently working on more eBay searching, haha. I need new trousers for HeartGold/SoulSilver Green as well as a silver/white pendant, the jacket, the shirt... I need to actually start working on that cosplay, in fact. I'm so preoccupied with the other two :x

Your welcome. Yeah actual leather will hold up better too. Just make sure you have leather specific needles.

Unfortunately in addition to being extremely long my hair is also really thick. It's really difficult for me to put it up and pin it flat. Plus there aren't really any places to get wigs in my area and online stores are out of my price range. I've just finished my first year of uni and I haven't got that much money to work with. And even my friends with short thin hair have complained about the heat from wearing a wig. I've really been trying to avoid resorting to a wig. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Let's see here...

Miho Tohya is almost done. The arm-warmers are hopefully going to be done either tonight or tomorrow night. This weekend I'm hoping to get the wig styled and done. That simply leaves the skirt to be shortened which should be done within the week once I can get my friend's sewing machine.

I need to try on my compression shirt and get my measurements so I can order and send off the fabric for my Tenth Doctor blue suit. This weekend I'm hoping to get his wig at least cut if not dyed and styled.

Harry Dresden needs the most work. I'm ordering the wig on Saturday (after pay day!) and might be able to work on getting the canvas duster cut out. Hopefully that will be ready to be sewn by next weekend. Getting that done will simply leave the pentacle and staff which I'm hoping to get at a Medieval Faire this summer.

Then there's the little finishing touches for Jane Lane. She's getting a new shirt, on which I need to add the white collar, and her red shirt needs to be taken in a little bit.

I keep fending off the other costumes on my list that keep living in my thoughts going "Work on me! Work on me!" Shoo! Shoo!

I was by no means surprised, or horrified in the way someone new to the internet might be, but shiiiiit. That's crossin' a line, man. It probably doesn't help that I dislike bugs AND bug pokemon, so squick only intensified.

I love eBay. I got some shoes on there that will work for Fujimoto and Grimsley for $1.29 (and I do feel a little guilty about that) !

I'm also upset that I don't know where the toy chest with all our pokeballs and my Xena wig went. I hate to think it just disappeared because we got too old.

Some common techniques are pin-curls and french braiding, to get hair up and out of the way.

I understand that wigs are expensive, but.... just think about how many YEARS it took for your hair to grow out this long - isn't that worth at least $30 ? Personally, I couldn't destroy something like that, especially for a costume.

I have thick, short-ish hair, but I've never had a problem with wigs. I can see maybe if you're wearing one in the summer in the middle of the day - but I'd imagine you'd not be feeling your best, then, anyway. But different people are going to have different experiences, I guess.

:T Trying to screen print but it ain't working. Paint keeps .. leaking? Under my freezer paper and makes a mess thats hard to match the red for. Is there a trick when ironing it so it won't let the paint leak? I'm not even applying it heavy and it still smudges. I can't move it once it's ironed. I really don't get it and it's making me frustrated to work on that piece for so long to ultimately give up because my touch ups were a different colour than my fabric because my pattern somehow smudged my paint when it was ironed on securely :T
I stayed home from my weekly 'thing' to work on it, and what did I achieve? A mass of red galaxy twill in the garbage and two empty bottles of fabric paint.
Aughhhhhhhhhh!
