Anyone have any tips on attaching Tavros horns under/to the wig? I'm going to follow the tutorial posted-but I'm having trouble figuring out how the 'headband' would work with getting the horns through the wig. :U Horizontal horns bluuuuuuuuh

Considering cosplaying Dave since all I need for the cosplay is a pair of sunglasses and I have everything else.. hmm.. I originally wasn't going to do that because I'm so ridiculously uncool and probably could not pull Dave's coolness off at all but I do really love Dave and it's getting hard to resist when all I need for the cosplay is a pair of sunglasses :B

Yeah, I'm not sure if it'd be best to attach Tavros' horns to the wig.. since they're likely to be heavy and put so much pressure on the wig I can only imagine them flopping down and pulling on the wig if you did manage to get them on there, personally I'd suggest using a headband for Tavros' horns, it'd be more secure in my opinion.

Yeah, though the model magic is pretty light, I think I'll have to make the headband and wires first and actually make the horns while they're through the wig, I don't think I'd be able to get it through otherwise...

Theatre stores/costume shops/dance shops. Any place that sells theatrical things should have a coloured foundation/foundations- and tooth enamel(?) if that's what you're looking for.

I'm so excited! I've been obsessed with Homestuck lately, and as I was reading it, I thought to myself, "Hey...I have a gray jacket. I have jeans. I have a long black wig. INSTANT VRISKA." Now all I need are the horns, shoes, shirt, and supplies to make my skin troll-ish, and I'm set My friend is cosplaying Squiddle dress!Jade, and we may possibly have either a Dave, or a Karkat...either way, it's the beginnings of a Homestuck group <3

I've decided that I'm going to try and cosplay God Tier John at Manchester Expo since it'll probably be really hot and I don't want to overheat if I cosplay Luke from Professor Layton as planned XD

This gives me 25 days from now to get it finished, wish me luck? (That sounds like quite long, but considering that I still have school right now it doesn't give me much time DX)
I already have the wig and glasses at least and if I don't manage to finish it I'll wear my deafult John cosplay :B

I only got the socks sense my last post XD

I made my horns out of model magic(colors; red, orange, yellow) and a wire from a coat hanger. I have a some wire sticking out so it can be attached to a headband.
Now the question is;
Should I splurge for a wig or grow out my hair?
Any ideas/opinions?
