Tinkerbell costume
So I have wanted to cosplay as Tinkerbell from the lost trreasure since I saw her new outfit. It is so amazing. I can sew it myself, my problem is that I need patterns for them. I will also take any advice or tips on how to get it accurate if you have any.
Here is the full costume: http://www.5portals.com/wp-content/u...nker-Bell2.jpg without the jacket: http://www.hollywoodtoday.net/wp-con...oto_01-300.jpg Anyone have any patterns or advice on how to make the boots and maybe leaf like fabric choices? I want the dress to look like it was made of leafs as well, like in the movie |

I'll see if I can be of any help.
![]() This is my favorite Tink cosplay: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ljinto/3725228537/ I know that it is leather and is airbrushed to get the leaf look. That is probably the best way to go about getting that look. : ) Here is Bri*Chans journal thing on making the Sexy Tinkerbell: http://bri-chan.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d266ge2 For the boots, you could do something similar to boot covers or spats. Just google them.

Go into a fabric store and tell the people who work there about what you want to do. I guarantee they'll have a lot of really great ideas about materials, and give you patterns that could work.

Silly question: Are they boots or could you just do them like legwarmers? Like... make a huge leaf shape to wrap around your calf, and then tie the cord/rope/whatever around it? Then you could make the slippers and wear matching socks to cover whatever bit of your ankle shows..
Or you could use knee-high socks, paint them, and just add fabric on top to get that.. torn leafy-type look. Actually yea, I vote for that idea rather than the first one I had. And actually I don't think you really need to worry about leaf-type fabric. It looks like you can just use splotchy-green fabric. Then you can paint veins on, because it's not little leaves, each piece is one or two big leaves, and wouldn't require a huge amount of paint. Well.. not big considering she's like three inches tall but.. big in scale...
