oh goodness, those could be a challenge. They look like pilots goggles from back in the day. I would say try ebay and search for pilot goggles. *shrugs* I don't know any store that would carry such things, perhaps a vintage one?

It would be hard to find goggles just in that same shape of Cids already made. >.< But If you want accuracy then make them (quite a challenge), or get an old pair of goggles of E-bay or somewhere and alter it like Cid's. It shouldn't be that hard to alter if you just have the shape of the eyes on the goggles.

Ditto to the e-bay thing. Have you tried a military surplus store? They might have some pilot goggles. Also, you could try www.sportys.com - it's a store for pilots.

Try checking out hardware stores like Orchard Supply or Home Depo. They might have safety goggles that are similar. I also saw some goggles at Hot Topic the other day, though they were black.

A pair of WWI pilot goggles would definetly be the way to go. Ebay should have them.

Restoration Hardware sells nifty, bulky welding goggles (though not on their website, for some reason). They're metal and black leather, so they aren't exactly accurate, but I think they may capture the spirit of the character.

Howdy. I haven't posted in quite a while, but I figured I should start once more.
So, check it. I do believe you can find some pretty decent looking goggles at your local Motorcycle dealer. I wouldn't of known this myself, except I recently bought a scooter, and while I was looking around the store, I spotted riding goggles in a case, and they really do look alot like Cid's. So, it could work. The goggles I found were at a Yamaha Dealership. So, yeah. It's worth looking to. |

Okay, I cosplayed as Cid earlier this year and I'll be honest, I took the easy(and poor) way out. I went to a thrift store, found a cheapy pair of swimming goggles(speedo I think
) and I just painted them brown. It really didn't look that bad though and I'm sure it's probably much more affordable them buying off E-bay or from a motorcycle dealer(I money is a concern). |

I made a Cid cosplay for my husband. When we couldn't find pilot goggles from the military surplus store, we simply bought small welder's goggles-- they look very close and they were only $5. I'll see if I can find a pic of them, but I'm not sure I have any.
