Locations near Downtown LA/Pasadena?

I'm looking for sort of old time-y places around little tokyo and Pasadena.

For example, I was considering the Heritage Square Museum in Highland Park and All Saints Church in Pasadena. The museum you need a permit though and they don't allow non professional organizations to take photos there anyway.

"old time-y" is pretty vague. Country and Era would help a lot.
Pasadena in general has a lot of area that could be old time-y. Though shooting inside just about anywhere in the greater LA area without paying is quite a long shot. The movie industry has spoiled people.
Your best best for inside spaces it hunting around your or friends' universities.

Maybe the Huntington Library?
I've never done a photoshoot before so maybe this isn't the answer you're looking for but I was there a few months ago with friends, gorgeous old-timey place, and we were able to take photos (albeit not professional quality...)

Maybe the glendale train station?

I've always wanted to have a Trigun photoshoot there, it's kinda westerny and nice. I don't know what you are looking for when you say "old fashioned" though.
