Dr. Strange? Cloak/Eye help!

Hiya. I already have costumes really well booked for Dragon*Con, but I just got this idea to make a female Dr. Strange. I have always wanted the outfit...so I suddenly got a sewing machine... So I figure, why not try? Most likely no, but I want to try it.

Here's the fabric I got,

It's thick and I think it flows well. (is an old bed sheet that I got for 50 cents at a yard sale) Sure it's darker, but since I am not being Dr. Strange ENTIRELY, I think it adds a bit of depth. ^^ Like, I got a feeling it'll be a bit shorter then what I am hoping, but I think it'd be badassly cute. xD

I plan to get a light blue shirt sometime this weekend and see what I can do about the gloves... Not sure where Orange gloves can be located locally. xD I may just take white gloves and paint them..somehow. But I was hoping that if there are any Dr. Strange costumers out there, do you have any tips? Like for the collar and whatnot. I have this idea for the cloak, but I am still not too sure.. http://armag.free.fr/Costumes/mantcirc.htm

So if there are any tips you all may have PLEASE do share. ^^; Cause any will help me.

Thank you for reading! <3

Well for the collar, if you want it to be up like how he usually has it, you could cut out some cardboard and then slip it between two fabric pieces and sew it close. No idea on the gloves, as I need white ones for my Taskmaster outfit, so I bought some green gloves for Robin (DC Comics) which I'm going to try to see if I can cover in white latex first, as painting may lead to cracking of the paint once it's dry and being bent a lot from wearing.

I'll post progress pictures soon. But the cloak is coming along well. it doesn't close completely in the front like I wished it to, but I believe it may be more comfortable on my end when it comes to travel.

I plan to really work on it all tomorrow. Prop wise. I had the ideas going, but today I was rained out before I could work on my eye and all. >_< I hate this weather. O_O But I come some gloves, they're a bit too small, so I plan to test on those for Dragon*Con, then get some better gloves to dye on later on. We'll see. I have an idea to make a sort of "magic aura" or netting that's like a lime green sort of color and will have it kinda envelope around my hands to kind of get the magic aura tone. xD

I'll try it out and take pictures or something to explain this idea a bit more. xD

And thank you for the ideas on the Collar. I'll get on trying it out sometime this weekend when my Dad can help me out on that. xD
