Bodyline shoe sizing?

I've heard that Bodyline has problems with shoe sizing. I measure my foot and it's about 23-24 cm. I saw an international shoe sizing chart on a different totally unrelated site (something about how to measure your foot). I normally wear about 8-8.5.

So, this is my dilemma.
If I go with 8-8.5 I get size 255
If I go with the international sizing chart I get 245
I don't want my shoes to be too snug, and certainly not too big (I seen a lot of pictures of models wearing lolita shoes that were too big and it looks so distasteful).

Has anyone ordered shoes from Bodyline before?

I ordered a pair from them last year. I'm a size UK 6, which would make me a Japan 24.5. My shoes were actually a little too big for me ^^; But I'm not sure if this will happen with all shoes. But in my experience, they ran a bit big so next time I order from them, I will probably get a 24, which is a UK 5.5.

Our feet is pretty close in size. :O Okay, this helps a lot. n_n Now I know to go with the international sizing chart instead of Bodyline's because according to bodyline UK 6 is 250 and the international chart is as you said =3 Thanks!!

edit** bodyline's chart is all kinds of jacked up XD
JP USA UK EUROPE
250 7½~8 6 40
International Chart
USA EU JPN UK
8.5 39 24.5 6

If you don't mind me asking, which shoes did you order?

I'd say get a 24. I've only used the actual measurement of my foot to buy Japanese sized shoes, not a conversion as American shoes aren't all exactly the same size. I'm a 9-9.5, I've measured my foot to be about 26cm, and I've worn a 24 size shoe (it was a little snug but still fit), and a 27 size shoe (which is a little on the big side) but both still fit.

I wear a US 6 or 6.5, and my foot measures exactly 23 cm. I have ordered two pairs of Bodyline shoes, both in 230, and they fit me nearly perfectly (except for some flaws in the shoe design, but that's not really a sizing problem). Go with your foot measurement over the sizing chart, since theirs is really off, but even more accurate ones can be off because not every brand's sizing is the same.

Though, you should do a search on the shoes you are looking at on the EGL comm on LJ to make sure that there aren't any totally crazy sizing problems, which Bodyline can have problems with.

Need a little advice here too about what size I should get :

I wear Men's UK/BATA 7, US 8 and EUR 41, apart from Ladies HK(?) 9 OR 42, due to my Wide Feet (and I am Plus Size).

I do own a pair of Size 24.0 Bodyline Shoes (it was a gift) and it's a Tight Fit at the front but relatively snuggle lengthwise, apart from I can't close the strap that goes over my feet, and barely for ones going around the Ankles after shifting the buckle to the 1st Hole.

So how much higher tham Size 24.0 should I go for my shoes?

Am thinking of getting these Shoes (Black & White) for both GL and Cosplay
SHOES105
SHOES245

Thanks

I know I'm not helping, but I think lolita models sometimes wear large shoes in the ads to make them look more childlike or slender or better proportioned. I sometimes wear my shoes slightly big because I have very small feet and I like the way that slightly bigger shoes make my ankles and legs look more slender. I think it's the same principal. Just a wardrobe direction choice. It might also be like the idea of "trying on mommy's shoes." But I totally know what you mean; wearing your shoes a little big can be troublesome and uncomfortable sometimes. ^^'

I ordered a pair from them last October and I wear a US size 8.5 and I went by the Bodyline size chart. They didn't have my size, so I had to get a 26. They fit pretty much perfectly. It was a little snug in the back and a little open in the front where the toes are (maybe .25" of space), but otherwise it was pretty comfortable.

I bought Shoes105 for $37 at the bottom, except I remember it being a lot cheaper.

From what I've heard, Bodyline shoes are tricky as the sizes vary depending on the style. My feet is 23.5cm and I wear a size 8.5 Australian or a 9 US and size 24.5 Bodyline SHOES146 fitted me nicely.

If you find that the 24cm pair given to as a gift is too tight in the front, do what I do and buy those shoe stretching spray and spray on the inside of the shoes and wear them around the house with socks on. It will stretch the front nicely.

I got some in 260, and I wear a US 9 typically (as low as 8 depending on the brand and style). They were a bit big on me so I think I could have gotten away with 255.

Thanks everyone for the advice.

Guess I'll bite the bullet and try a Size 250 and see how it fit my feets.
