Major Ocelot's medals/badges

Right now because I don't really have a place to live (long story short, moved out and the place we wanted fell through) I can't really work-work on my cosplay, but I was hoping I could do some research.

I have been looking at the few HD recordings of gameplay from MGS3 on the internet, but even with the 720 resolution I can't seem to quite identify what all of his badges are!

I figured out that his larger rhombus-shaped badge is a Russian military badge - something called "Ryazan's Margeloff academy badge". Now, I know this is probably a modern badge, but I'm looking for SCREEN accuracy and not historical. Keeping that in mind, I know it's perfectly possible that Kojima said "screw history, Ocelot's gotta be a sharp-dressed man". Either way, Major ocelot has this TINY round circular badge that looks like a circle on top of a square?

Does anyone have any idea what that is? Because I know I don't >.>

Also, someone told me that it's possible to get historical uniform patterns through museums - is this actually possible and has anyone done this before successfully?

Oh, those ribbons. Such a pain to try and see up close... Thank god for DeltaForce's videos. Speaking of which, I should try seeing if I can get a better shot of Raikov's..

Oh, and as for historial uniform patterns.. I'm not sure. I had to alter a suit pattern to make my Raikov uniform.

Hope that helps a little though.
