Invest in soy products, tofu, and imitation meats. It will help wean ya off of meat if you're really comitted to becoming vegitarian. Myself that's what I ate, but you can also eat nuts to get protien, I'm alergic to them so i had a problem getting protien

i love bell peppers, tofu, bean sprout, bamboo shoot, baby corn, corn, carrots... alright i love all kinds of veggies.

here is what u do, invest in a rice cooker. takes about 20 mins to cook rice. one cup jasmine rice, one cup water. etc

then buy u a wok. a medium one would do.

then buy whatever veggies u like plus tofu. for stir fry u will need the hard tofu.

then stir fry them with veggie oil or olive oil, not much oil needed though, i like mine with sauce so i add water

pan fry the tofu first so they get that golden crispiness. then add in all the veggies u want. add some soy sauce to taste, add a bit sugar, add water, then add some corn starch to make the sauce thick, at last, sprinkle a bit green onion or cilantro. done!

Things that are good are kind of subjective, since everyone has different tastes. If you're trying to become a vegetarian I recommend eating is lentils and soybeans, as they have a lot of iron and sometimes people who don't eat meat tend to have a deficiency of that. Also, what kind of vegetarian are you? Are you just giving up on meat, or eggs and dairy products are also on your giving up list?

I've been vegetarian for 8 years, I'd love to help out if I could. I'm so used to it though that I'm not sure how much help I'll be.

I laughed because under favorite meatless dishes you put 'spaghetti with meat sauce'.

When I'm busy I like Lean Cuisine pizzas, and their veggie potstickers (frozen meals!!)... most restaurants have some sort of vegetarian option. Even if they don't, having a salad for lunch won't hurt! I eat stuff like oatmeal with fruit-based protein powder, veggie burgers with vegetables and maybe a potato or something... dunno though, I really don't eat out much, can't afford it.
