Blending?

Does anyone know a way to blend the top scalp part of a wig (right along your forehead) in a little without messing up the wig? I was loaned a wig for my halloween costume (elf) and the front scalp section just looks completely unnatural, to the point of me almost deciding not to wear it (thought I'd ask here before I completely trash the notion though!) Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've heard of Hollywood makeup artists using thick pancake makeup and a little bit of liquid latex (with a tiny brush!) to bleand the seam of the wig into your scalp. After you're done wearing it, you just peel the latex off and wash the makeup out. You might want to try it on a throw-away wig or some spare wig hair first to see how it works.

thanks!! I'll give that a try. Definitely have to test it on a scrap first, don't want to mess up someone else's wig :]
