How to make real life size print outs?

Greetings,

How do you make real life size print outs of a certain cosplay prop such as a sword? My printer is pretty small, so I guess I have to use multiple print papers (the regular white ones), that has little bits of the image on each page that makes up the entire image once combined. But, how can I do this also?

Thank you

Best Regards.

Yep, that's about the only way using a house hold printer. For a few extra bucks you can go to a local kinkos or Fed-ex store where they will be able to give you both color and the right size on possible one sheet of paper. Just make sure you know how big you want to go.

I recommend WOW model viewer to size your weapons. A normal human assuming 6 foot is the base i use for cosplay props. Trying to size off a night elf or Gnome isn't going to help you with getting the right look.

Use the size of the human for a reference, 3 feet from top of head to waist and 3 feet from waist to feet. if it the weapon is half the length of a leg.... boom 1.5 feet long. Most daggers in this game are between 12-16 inches long and some fist weapons are as large as 2.5 feet!!

Size is important when doing wow props due to the over inflated nature of this items.

Essex, the wealth of knowledge you bring to this forum on a regular basis is absolutely amazing.

That is all I have to add to this discussion.

oh oh!

I use the 3d model viewer on wowhead to take a screen cap and then I put it into adobe illustrator and trace it out as vector line art. then, you can scale it as big or as small as you want and print.
