Rather than actually weighing myself, I've been measuring inches.
So far, I'm seeing my upper arms and legs getting smaller, and my tummy looks more flat [but still the same around the waist]~ |

Well, I figured it's about time to share some of the meager progress I've been making. I still have a ways to go, but I know I'm on the right path and my habits just get better and stronger everyday.
![]() Just to clarify that there is a decent difference between the two, about two inches less around the waist, three around the stomach, an inch an a half from around the chest, and my arms are about half to three quarters of an inch bigger. And yeah, I probably need more sun, lol. Last edited by Rjr3412 : 10-24-2010 at 09:53 PM. |

I can see the difference! It's difficult if you're trying to build-up! Very nice job! And eh, lol, no one gets a tan in the winter...unless you are a Jersey boy.
Hoping sooner or later there will be a noticeable difference in my physique to post some results.

Meager? Your arms have ballooned man! All I can really critique is your abdominals, and I think that's only due to slouching and poor lighting in the room. Seriously I'm impressed.

It is strange to think, I haven't seen you since a month. I have seen the new moon, but not you. I have seen sunsets and sunrises, but nothing of your beautiful face. The pieces of my broken heart are so small that they could be passed through the eye of a needle. I miss you like the sun misses the flower; like the sun misses the flower in the depths of winter. Instead of beauty to direct its light to, the heart hardens like the frozen world your absence has banished me to. |

Hey guys. Okay so I looove food. I mean, it's a problem. I love food to much, but every time I look in the mirror I see this fat, ugly thing. (I know that's a bit of exaggeration, but still. I'm really self-critical.)
So this marks the start of my new 'working out and not eating as much junk' program. ![]() Wish me luck! Edit: Oh. Right. I'm 5'2'' and 135 pounds. Working on my stomach and legs. |

giving up junk is hard. but there are alternatives. I LOVE these kudos bars that are 100 calories and some have m&ms in them! I keep them for my snack during school. same with milk cereal bars. yummy~ but food is my problem as well. but exercising more definitely helps curb appetite. plus havinga strong will too. i just tell myself to STOP. drinking more fluids definitely helps too

Samurai: Aw, thanks. xD
Beni: Yeah. My will isn't all that great. The tap water at my house makes me gag, though, so I usually end up drinking soda which is a terrible habit. x-x Also, how old are you? At my age, 135 is a lot of weight to be carrying considering everyone around me isn't even at 100 yet. ,_, |

As a fellow food enthusiast I take the advice my nutritionist friend gave me, which is "don't cut bad food out, add good food in." ie. focus on adding veggies, whole wheat, water, lean protein, whatever it is that your current diet is weak in and you will have less room for the bad stuff. Plus you won't have to feel like you are denying yourself food.
