I'm planning on doing Leeloo (The Fifth Element) and Gabrielle (Xena) next year for Dragon*Con, so I definitely need to drop 15-20 pounds and work the crap out of my abs. It's a year away, so I know I can do it. Just need to start pushing myself now so I'm not under a time crunch like I was this year.

I work out for all of my cosplays lol. Ryu is the one I am more specifically thinking about right now. I'd like to get better ab definition. ITS SO HARD! The first / beginning reason I got serious about working out was for Tien from DBZ lolz I want to cosplay as He-Man, But I think it will take a while before I get a large enough six pack for me to be happy with that kind of cosplay. Saw an ad for 1 month free Brazilian Ju Jitsu, although I really wanted to get into Muay Thai... you cant beat that price XD!!!

So I had a baby two years ago and every year before my convention I say that I'm going to do Insanity so that I can have an awesome six pack...needless to say that it never happens and I quit about a week into. This time I said I'm goiong all out and am going to purchase a costume that is going to force me to workout. I decided to do this 2 months before this convention that I didn't really plan on going to. Anyways....

This is how far I have got from my Insanity workout over the past two months. I'm not extremely happy with the results because I missed a bunch of days but it is what it is. I literally only had 2 months to do this and the last day of the workout is 4 days before my con lol. But her is my results



I'll see if I can find a before picture. But any advice on how to maybe shed a bit of the "water weight" temporarily at the convention, mainly in the tummy?

Hi!
Drink lots of water, no soda or sugary drinks. Ease up on sodium, and be sure to eat mostly fruits and veggies. I have heard that cooked are better than raw in this regard, but I forget why.

I thought raw was better than cooked lol. IDK, I'll google it so that we both will know but as for the other part of your comment I do all that you listed every day.

So should I stick to a fruit and veggie diet for the convention?

Its official. Got the armor and pants for my Bane Cosplay.

As for my body, I have gone up an entire shirt size (from M to L) and am drawing nearer to the 170 pound benchmark.
