i requested friday and saturday off work for bishiecon... we'll see if i actually get it. i requested far enough in advance that it shouldn't be a problem, but in reality... yeah
planning on nakakon, kawakon, astl, and acen if i have the money. i have been begged, pleaded, and bribed into making afw again though, so i might have to miss a couple of these to be sure i can make another wichita trip

I'm excited because I've got several cosplay groups to be a part of. That's rare because I either cosplay from rather obscure things (Vampire Game, etc.) or older things that no one cares much about anymore.

Anyone else get that creepy email from the Crowne Center about their "Hauntingly Low Rates" and think it was in bad taste?

I had a great time at Motaku- yes it was small, yes, some things didn't necessarily go smoothly, but my daughter and I met a lot of fun people, went to some interesting panels, and had a lot of fun I'll be at Naka-con, can't wait! I'm in southeast KS, about 2 hours from KC.

Hmmm. I would have gone to Motaku and planned on going to Naka-Kon, but they're during the school year and traveling to cons during the school year just doesn't sound like a risk I'd like to take. I'd hate to ruin my con experience by thinking of a project or paper I'd have to do the entire time. |D

However, Kawa Kon and Anime STL are plenty for me in the spring, anyway. What would be really awesome would be a St. Louis-area con in the fall. I know there's Bishie-con in December, but I'm not really a fan of... that sort of stuff. -shrug-

There is... Archon is in October. A lot of people have talked about having cons in November, but Bishie Con is the only one that's ever happened in that month, it seems.

I'd run a November con outside of Bishie Con (which is now in December), but I always spend most of my August and September prepping for Archon.

well it looks like i'm not going to make the stl cons after all unless i have a really good reason for going and/or a group of people to chill with. recent life drama and a certain person moving to stl have killed my desire to go there at all. the kc cons are good though!

Oh yeah, I forgot about Archon... Sci-fi convention, right? I was thinking about looking into it for this coming year. -ponders-

Yeah, it's a sci-fi convention. Good, fun con though. Their masquerade is one of the best in the entire country. Some of the most fantastic costumers enter each year.

Well, if you live in SW missouri, in November and March there is a con called the Arkansas Anime Festival, it is in Bentonville Arkansas(duh) and It is really cool, it's a smaller con but it has a good feel to it. I just went this last weekend and had such a great time.

o.o

*dusts her account off* I've.. been missing for two years. xD
*ahem* I used to browse around for cosplay for Colorado.

But, I've recently (last month recently)... moved to Missouri. I live just north of Springfield. Not entirely sure when I can get back into conventions and cosplaying, but I hope to! As well as... plan to. o_o Since I'm planning on trying to get into artist's alley as well~

I've no idea really where everything is... so.. this is nice. x3
(... let's just hope I don't forget to come back to cosplay.com! xDDD)
