Len servant of evil help

ok so I want to make a cosplay of Len from servant of evil and I have NO idea where to start. I kind of have a idea in my head but i don't know what patterns to use(or where to find them), what fabric to use and well at this point anything will help. Please help me!

I take it you mean the yellow tux ? It would no doubt be impossible to find a suit or tux at a thrift shop in this color that you could alter. so, the only thing i can think of to help is to find a tuxedo pattern and alter it to add the tails, ruffles and such. Making the pants and cravat should be simple enough. You might even be able to find some white dress pants and a plain white dress shirt should work for underneath the jacket.
I tried to find some tutorials or patterns online for the tuxedo, but all I could find was a pattern for a baby tuxedo. Sorry. I hope this at least gives you a place to start though :-)

I'm not sure if you have gotten your answers for this yet, but I have an idea that might help.

I am planning on doing the same thing and I will be using this pattern http://www.simplicity.com/p-2235-men-teen-costumes.aspx for it. I will shorten the coat tails and sew on the ruffles by hand on the sleeves right before I attach those to the main body of the coat. It might be the easiest thing you could do. Look around though.
