Question How would you make this shirt?

I thought since I can't sew at all, I'd go looking for commission quotes... and I got back quotes going on 299 dollars. WHUUUUT???

The shirt I'm trying to make is the gas station attendent shirt in Persona 4, here is a reference pic: http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0...dant_super.jpg

I guess I can (maybe?) understand where the commissioner is coming from... I mean, there are 4 different colors going into this shirt and it's positioning is kinda wacky. But... is it really going to take 300 dollars to make a shirt?

I guess I'm here because I want some opinions, and some tips on making this if I ever try to make it myself, if you could spare some knowledge :3 I am stuck.

You could try getting some shirts of the same size and Frankensteining them together. Cost you $15 at the most if you found what you needed at Goodwill.

I agree with Kurutta: buying shirts in the right colours and either piecing them together yourself, or getting a seamstress to do it for you, seeems a good option

Yeah. If you don't have patterns for a shirt, then it would be hard to make. It shouldn't cost you $299. When I bought fabric for Chie's jacket, which is like three different colors at different places, it didn't cost me more than $40 to make? Process was slightly complicated, but it's not hard to do.

So I agree with what KuruttaKanashii said too by just Frankensteining the jacket together.
