Ryuk Cosplay Help

My first ever Death Note cosplay and I'm picking one of the hardest characters to cosplay. I decided to pick Ryuk because he's my favourite character and I find him extremely interesting. A friend of mine is cosplaying as L or possibly Light. Anyway I think I need some help so that I can get my Ryuk cosplay as good as possible. I would just like to point out that I'm a girl before we get started.

First off, I'm going be using a wig because it's the easiest option. To solve the problem about stray hair sticking out under the wig, I have a black hair gel that both colours and styles my hair.

I'm going to use face paint and make-up to become Ryuk's skin tone. Instead of using strictly white, I was going to put a bit of grey and blue in there so that it's as accurate as possible. If I can't replicate the skin colour, then I'll just use white face make-up.

For Ryuk's eyes, I'm planning to get some yellow contact lenses. The top half of Ryuk's cosplay is taken care of but I'm stuck on the pants. What should I use?

Now I'm 5'9 which is kinda tall but not Ryuk tall. So I'm going to get some platform boots with a 5 inch heel so that will make me as least 6'2. Platform boots are easier to walk in than high heels and they're more comfy! I'm quite thin with very long arms and legs so this will help when I'm trying to look like Ryuk.

If anyone has any words of wisdom or advice then please feel free to comment because I need all the help I can get.

Um, Tips? On making his cosplay or being in character?

Making= Don't forget the earings (you should be able to find something similiar at Ardene's I believe)! And the teeth (Down in the Kuroshitsuji fandom sub-forum, there should be a thread about Grell's teeth, I think it's similiar to Ryuk). ^^

Being in character= Walk hunched over, a bit like L, but the right angle would be enough so you're almost leaned over your Light (if you have a Light)

I think that's all I can think of at this moment... >.< I hope it helps ^^

Oh yeah! I forgot about the earrings and the jewellery. As for the teeth, I'm considering getting some Grell teeth.

I've been taking notes on Ryuk's behaviour and physicality like how he sits, stands, eats and stuff like that. I've also found out that I can do Ryuk's withdrawal symptoms, I can twist myself kinda like he does.

What sort of material should I use for the costume?
