Need Help With Pokemon Cosplay

Im a little new to this site so if I'm doing stuff wrong just tell me. Alright! So i need help making a cosplay for the Pokemon Drifloon. Im not really looking to buy some giant full body costume. I just want some general ideas and tips on how to make a successful cosplay! Please and thank you!

Some pictures would be a start. And an explanation of your design concept. Pokemon aren't generally human-shaped, so are you doing an accurate pokemon, or a gijinka? It's an important distinction.

Also, there are other posts with similar questions for different pokemon. I'd suggest checking/searching the general construction help area, and the anime specific area where there's definitely a pokemon specific thread.
