A Kingdom Hearts Cloud dilemma

I am currently facing a dilemma:

I want to make a Kingdom Hearts cloud costume, but I don't know whether or not to have Limebarb make it, or simply do it myself. I have a pair of old navy cargos that should do it for the pants, and I already have an authentic buster sword that I could always wrap in athletic tape.

Should I get it professionally done? Or should I do it myself?

I just don't know about the wing... Maybe some wire hanger in black tissue paper, I guess...

Whether you want to get it professionally done or do it yourself is up to you. Do you want to make it yourself and oversee it all? Or do you lack faith in your skills and would rather get someone else to do it? ^_^; Really, it sounds like you have a lot of ideas. I recommend trying to do as much done as you can yourself, first.

If you know how you would make it, and you think you *can* make it, then why not at least give it a try before handing it over to someone else?

I don't think Black Tissue paper would work for the wig. It's too brittle, plus you'll get nasty black dye all over you, yuck. Uh....Some sort of black plastic would work... Hmm, I bet black trash bags would work quite well-..Providing you can get it not to look like black trash bags, if you know what I'm saying.

I'd definately say wire for the wing, but it would have to be like this happy medium between too thin to support any black covering, and too heavy to stay on your costume...wow, that -is- a bit of a dilemma.

And as for who should make it...I'd say start on it yourself. That way, if you succeed in creating it, you can enter it in contests! If Limebarb made it, you couldn't. Yup.

And one more thing: KH Cloud? Come to MTAC. You know you want to. You know you want to let me follow you around obsessively for three days.

Alrighty then, I'm making it myself.

BTW, what's MTAC? Unless it's in Southern California, no dice.

Yay! Thankies for all your support. The costume is coming out quite nicely. I just need to go downtown and get a messload of belts.

*shakes fist and looks towards sky*
DAMN YOU BELT-OBSESSED ANIME DESIGNERS!!!

Anywho, found a pair of demon wings at a haloween store. Chopped of the left one.
