Salamance Gijinka Knight
I got pulled into a group pokemon gijinka with some friends, and I've been playing around with designing a knight version of Salamence, since he's my favorite Pokemon and I've always had this idea of him being a warrior kind of character.
So far, most of it is still in designing it and making bases for the armor. However, while it's still in this early stage, I'd like to get some input/ideas from you guys! Here's some pictures of Salamence; http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__.../Salamence.png http://www.speedinsalamance.moonfrui...4537615694.gif http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/8065/salamence.jpg http://media.photobucket.com/image/s.../salamance.jpg I'd upload my sketches, but my scan doesn't seem to be working at the moment..so for the time being, I'll just provide a description: Head - Blue half helmet with his signature head spikes and a red knight visor Shoulders - Red blade pauldrons shaped like his wings, with a blue base and a silver border(I was thinking I could decorate the border with draconian runes, something like that) Back - A red cape, embellished with designs and cut off to kind of look like wings when spread out Chest - Silver Breastplate shaped like his underbelly Waist - A red battle skirt(I'm not sure what's the actual name for those things, but for lack of a better term) Arms - Blue Gauntlets with a red cuff and silver "claws" where the fingers go Legs - Same concept as the arms, but adapted for leg armor Let me know what you think, and if you have any ideas or suggestions! I think your design sounds really wicked and unique, by all means go for it! Would certainly be interesting to see.
I'd love to see the sketches btw.

Sounds really cool! I have designed a Salamence gijinka too (not a knight, more of the medieval style, like capes and so). I also love Salamence. I would really like to see a sketch of your knight version *w*
I think you should actually take this in this thread: http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=142293

Thank you! I appreciate the nice comments guys!
I've just finished the bases for the shoulder armor, and I've gotten all the patterns for that worked out. I'm just waiting on a shipment of wonderflex I ordered, so I can really get to work. Hopefully I'll update with some progress shots soon |
