Hi everyone! I'm really excited to cosplay Sailor Moon with my friends, but I do have a question that's pretty common. Does anyone have any suggestions for places to buy a Sailor Moon wig? They're pretty expensive, and I don't feel like getting ripped off. I did a bit of research, but I haven't been able to find any recent information on the subject. As for my budget, I would of course prefer the cheapest possible, but I can pretty much afford anything under $80. I guess I mostly just want to see what wigs other people can vouch for. Thanks! ^-^

I just ordered a wig on ebay for $50. I haven't gotten it in yet but when I do I'll let you know how it is when I do.

I'm hoping to make a Sailor Mercury and Sailor Saturn cosplay soon. Maybe even for next con season. I've been thinking of modifying a ice-skating dress pattern and adding a sailor collar to achieve the desired look. I think I'll use lycra for the main body and casa satin for the skirts. It's on sale at Jo-Anns right now.

I finally have some pictures for you guys to see as me as Usagi, I uploaded the one's I thought were particulary nice, but most of them are on Facebook.

Anyway, it was a cloudy and windy afternoon. It wasn't cold thankfully! My Yaten took my pictures. I'm SO happy at how most of them turned out. Though, I probably will have to look into sewing my collar down, there were too many times where my collar didn't sit on my shoulders.

It also means, to avoid any cleavage shots I may have, which in some of my pictures on Facebook you could see down my shirt. =D

I definitely love my uniform. Everything from my brooch to my shoes. I've also got a new Luna Plush. I had an amazing afternoon, and I had so many people off the street of Vancouver, gasp and point me out as Sailor Moon. Hehe! And I had a couple people even stop and ask to take my picture, before my photoshoot!

I'm really flattered, I will be getting started next month or during Christmas, a Neo Queen Serenity cosplay as well! I was thinking of buying a used wedding dress and modify it, a little surprise cosplay announcement from me.

Thank you again everyone for your kind comments and support. You guys are the reason I'm so lucky to be able to support and encourage other Moonies!

Aside from my costumes so far! I really can't decide for a new Sailor Moon form....I really want to do Princess Sailor Moon from PGSM, and re-create the Manga form of Super Sailor Moon, though I could easily do both at some point.

It's also crunch time for preparations and planning to attend Sakura Con. I'm stoked to most likely to go down to Seattle, I'm working very hard to do this. I've missed the con so much. and of course I can't wait to see friends

Hi everyone, my name is Ash.

This is my first time ever trying to tackle anything like this, really. So I decided to cosplay Sailor Saturn, however I never really thought this through while I began sewing. I used the Crystal Lake skating pattern and used lycra for the leotard. I also decided to use satin since I like the texture and shimmer it gives off. What I didn't think about was the fact that satin does not stretch. I finished making the leotard (just need to sew the upper front/back and lower front/back with the skirt. But now as I'm trying it on, I realized I can't squeeze the skirt up without having to squirm around excessively. I'm pretty sure at some point that skirt's going to rip.

At this point I'm wondering what to do. A friend of mine suggested a zipper, but thinking that through I'm not sure how that'll even work if I'm sewing it onto the leotard. ._.; Sorry for the trouble!

Hi Ash. Yeah I had the same with mine, but cuz of my narrow hips I can manage to wriggle into mine. Yes do put a small zipper up the back of the skirt. It should give just enough extra width to get your hips through. And it will be covered by the back bow anyway.
