@fabulosity:
thanks. any idea who my bf could be?? I may just throw him in as tuxedo mask even though we are relatively the same height.

@earth:
i agree with fab on the bow, do not make it too large or heavy though!

I'm working on the boob armor, I have decided to make it a seperate piece with a zipper in the back to make it eassyer to get in and out of. My problem is that I got a hidden zipper so it won't pull appart compleatly, I was planning on using snaps to attach the sailor collar and flip it over my head, but because the zipper doesn't come all the way appart i don't think it will work. Do you guys think this will still work or is there another way to make this work?

@tarinalove About your boyfriend, first of all, I just want to say where did you get him??? I want one!!!!! Now that I've gotten that out of the way, if he shaves his beard, I think he would make a cute Peruru, like you said, or Helios. Now that I look at the picture more, I think he would make a really cute Jadeite too!! Not that Jadeite really GOES with Moon or Chibimoon, but still. Maybe you should get started on a Mars!

Why dont you make it front fastening instead, like mine. The front bow and broach will cover the fastener. Mine has large size snap fasteners, but you could use those plastic quick release buckles which front fastening bras use. Then putting it on will be like a bolero or shrug.

That would be a good idea but i was planning on it going about an inch below my bust line. I think I'll try my method and if that doesn't work i'll try yours.

EriBear - how about an underarm seam? That's the way they fasten in PGSM (live action).

thank you! He is honestly the best thing to happen to me in several years and i love him so much. And we met through mutual facebook friends and texting.

i may just make him a peruru costume at some point. Or be Mars for him and he can be Jediate.

I'm almost nosebleeding just when thinking about a Jadeite costume! Oh gawd!

But it would still be better if more boys did those characters. xD Joins the useful to the pleasant. xD

I tried to make a mockup of Luna yesterday. It was a disaster. Being the idiot that I am, I thought that the pattern I found already had a seam allowance in it, so after I found out that it didn't, instead of not being stupid and cutting out the pieces again, I tried to go ahead with what I'd already cut. Bad idea. I'm gonna try to make another mock up today WITH the seam allowance. Wish me luck!

Thats why mock ups are so usefull. At least you didnt ruin your proper dress fabric.
If it were me, I would have just tacked some extra fabric strips onto the mock up. Thats the beauty of a mock up, it can look very rough and edited. This way you dont have to start all over again cutting completely new pieces.

And that, Ranma, is why I fail.

Dont feel bad.. we are all learning. There are lots of different ways of getting a job done, just sometimes there are faster ways of getting to the same place. Thats why I love forums like this one. Its like finding lots of really great short cuts.
