Spring break!! Yay!!! I'm gonna start on my collar today

Not much progress, but progress none the less.

I got the main leotard and the skirt done for eternal mercury. My base boots and wig came in yesterday too. So it's all coming together.

The eaxct colro is hard to see. But its a nice blue gem color. It'll be hemmed up about another inch during roll hemming. And it sits higher on me then the dummy.

I made a practice color out of my leftover bow fabric! It still needs a little bit of tweaking though.....

I plan to purchase all the re-released manga. Even though I have the original pocket mixx versions of 1-3 and 3 in japanese.

but my goal is to have all of them.

Also sad news: i can not finish any costumes at home since I can not afford to get my machine serviced or purchase a new machine.

costs too much and my convention is right around the corner! Sucks balls.

I know I'm so happy for you guys in the US, hopefully other English speaking countries will get the manga (I'm sure they will), especially in the UK <3

@tarinalove: Do you have any friends or family that have a sewing machine? Or if you attend a school/college/university, surely they have sewing machines in the art department? If not maybe consider hand stitching?
I don't know what you need to finish so I'm a bit useless at giving the relevant advice.

You can get a cheap 1 at target or wallmart 4 70-90 bucks...
If not try looking at thrift stores sometimes u can find 1 cheap. Just make sure it's working right be4 u buy.

So I was doing my eternal merc sleeves and I ended up sewing the cuff to the part were the opening is for the sleeve. I didn't realize it till I went to attach it to the leotard and my notches were missing. I felt like such and idiot. xP So I had to cut out a whole new sleeve since I already cut it down and serged it. Luckily I had just enough sheer to make another puff. That fabric was hard to find in the right color and I would have been hard to match it again. So now it's good. They're not attached to the leotard yet but at least they're done.

I also did my bows today. I used the sizes on Lynleigh's website to make it easier for me this time around and they were way too big for my taste so I ended up cutting them down by a good 3 or so inches across. Her bow measurements made the bows wider than I was. xD

I just came back from a trip to Fabricland with my mom. We got fabric for the skirt/fuku/boot covers! Hooray! It's such a huge weight off my shoulders to finally have the fabric since Anime North is just 2 months away now. And I really need to get it done, since I signed up to be one of the pieces for Cosplay Battle Chess! Motivation is at its highest! I wish I wasn't so busy with other stuff, haha.

Chibi-Usa seems to.. "inherit".. Usagi's wands correct? She has her poopy little pink one at first, then when she comes back again to train in the future she has this one right?

If you're doing an older version of that fuku version, why don't you just make that same rod but make it extended. Sailor Moon has the extended version of the crescent moon wand, cutie moon rod AND the Eternal tiaru - so tl;dr make an extended version of it.
