Thanks, yeah I spent a whole day editing the roughs untill they looked right.. Sewing the finished shorts themselves took just minutes. As they say - its all in the preparation.

stomach! ^_^ A while ago I discovered stomach exercises meant for post natal women to regain a flat stomach. The exercises do not put strain on the back so they are really good. (normal situps make my back ache). So I'm glad I found these and that they work for me too.

I do something similar to 1 and 7 on this list

Finally feel like I'm making good progress on my senshi costumes! I'm working on Pluto for myself, my friend is being Saturn, and together we're also working on Neptune, Uranus, Moon and ChibiMoon costumes for our friends D
We've been a little slow so far, just gathering materials, figuring everything out, getting shoes, wigs, etc., but nowww we're finally starting on actual construction ^^
I did the collar pattern last night, and I'm really happy with it~ Need to try it on everyone to see if I could just use the same pattern, or if everyone's will have to be adjusted. My friend is starting to work on the bodice/leotard pattern, and I think I'll start on the skirt pattern today.
I also started dying my Pluto wig! I have to touch up some parts, but so far I love it!! Such a dark green~~ D <3
I'll probably post some progress pics soon~ ^^

Oh, also, everyone's costumes/progress pics so far look amazing!!! Keep up the great work everyone!! We can do it~! D

Hey all!
I'm new in this forum, but in way shape or form new to this series!
I've always LOVED Sailor Moon when it came on Cartoon Network when I was younger and around high school, I started reading the manga and I eventually started watching the original Japanese dubbed version and fell more in love with Sailor Moon!
I'm going to cosplay this series, but I'd love some feed back on who I'd be, if it's not too much of an issue to ask that is! ^^;
Here is my picture:

Now, I've always loved Sailor Saturn, but I feel like I can't pull her off, but I hear people tell me all the time that I can.
I hope it's true ^^;

You could probably do Saturn, but honestly I see you more as a Uranus. Just don't do a really light blonde wig. But really, you should just cosplay who you want to and just forget about looks

Maybe.
I prefer Saturn, but Uranus is alright ^^;
I like her, but at the same time, I don't think I'm meant for her, since I'm not really tomboyish like she is. Thanks for the suggestion hun!
I'll keep it in mind! ^^

No problem You might also want to add Neptune, Pluto and Mars to the list.

I'll look into those as well!
I'd really love someone who fits me well in the face, but also a bit in personality wise too!
I might ask a few friends too!
Sory for asking so many questions DX

You think this is a lot of questions? Please, you should have seen ME when I was first trying to figure out sailor moon cosplay. Yes, lots of dumb questions were asked, nice answers were received. Good times, good times... Well, at least your questions are a lot better than mine were. I asked "what kind of fabric is used for a leotard?" and "why can't you just put a regular wig in pigtails? Why do you have to sew wefts?" lol

If you are comfortable hiding your freckles then yes to saturn and a black wig or dye your hair black and straighten it. also wear contacts if possible.

Otherwise i second uranus, and possibly jupiter and if you can find the right shade hair for neptune then her too. Possibly mars if you wear contacts-foundation-wig of course.

Haha, awww, but I would've asked them too, for certain!
I think asking questions though is the only way to improve!
Also, I cannot wait to see your cosplay once it's completed!

Thank you hun!
I am comfortable with hiding my freckles actually!
I'm getting better concealer for my skin type since my friend works with make-up and she's teaching me so!
I'd definetly get a wig! ^^;
My hair doesn't take too well to dying, but I've only done it onces.
I'd wear contacts as well, but I haven't been able to go to the eye doctor in YEARS, but that is something I hope to achieve soon!
So far, I love all of those choices!
Thanks so much!

So it's been over a month since our huge devastating earthquake and I'm just getting back into cosplay now. I've fixed up/re glued my heart brooch back together - it came apart in the quake (but it was the only thing to break which was a huge relief) and have gotten all the measurements I need for the 20+ meters of trim I need for Sera Myu! Eternal Moon. I'm now in another city for a small holiday and plan to go fabric shopping for the last of the fabric I need and all the trim.

Now to get it finished and just wait to see if the convention will go ahead or not. There's a horrible rumor going round that the town hall and convention centre (where all the conventions and big events are held) might be demolished.... just like most of the city centre.
