totally failed on my wig. IDK why the odangos wouldn't work for me, but mostly because the fiber wouldn't bend to the shape (they're heat resistance) and I had the pieces rubberbanded but the fibers got pulled out. so i'm just going to have to find some wefts that are premade because I don't think i can do so otherwise. but my base wig looks ugly in a few places as well. ugh.

@RisaSparkle *jumps up and down* Yay!!! I PGSM cosplayer!!! I'm so happy! I love PGSM and it just doesn't get cosplayed enough!

@benihime What did you use for a base wig?

On a somewhat random note (no pun intended), is anyone here a pianist?

The hiproll should dip in a gentle curve at the back. Think of the shape of a period dress which has a deep v at the front and scoops down in a gentle curve at the back. Or like corsets which have a gentle sweeping curve across the back. It's a pattern convention that fits our form and is flattering.
On my resin kits the hiprolls all scoop down gently at the back (the back bow is a seperate piece which gets glued on so you have a very clear view of the shape of the back.)
Yes the bow covers over much of the back detail, but you will end up with different lines to your fuku if you do this part straight across - eg proportionally you will loose body length and gain more skirt length at the back. Also the skirt will hang differently.
My adv is Do Not go straight across the back for the hiproll, but give it a gentle sweeping dip.

I need to do some tests with some scrap latex before I can begin construction on the gloves, boot covers and main body for the fuku. I just need to stop being lazy when I have time off from class and homework x_x;

Ah, thanks so much for the advice!! Yes- period dresses! That's exactly what I had in mind for examples!

Thanks everyone so much for the help+suggestions! My friend and I are the main ones working on our group SM costumes so I'll let her know what you guys all have said/mentioned!

Also, I finally have a couple of progress shots up! I have more done so far, but these are just a few updates~:

Going to have to install velcro in my armour. And cut it a bit. But it is finished.
Also my boots are finished! Yay!

Just gotta finish glove rolls (re-doing them possibly), make sleeve rolls, and hair shields. Which are being made out of sculpy and flat marbles. As well as hair feathers.

What part of the costume are you talking about phantom? You mean the Green Pepper skating pattern? If so, it should work fine. A leotard is a leotard. Nothing really special about that.
