1. well people sell the metal-ish tiaras...they have a band but if you have one with a band i think its suppose to go on under the wig and over your wig cap...

2. you can make boot covers that would come to a point or maybe adding alittle fabric to make the point...

3. do you have a reference pic?

Christina-chan: I put this in your other thread. But www.catzia.com sells some very nice metal tiaras (and I highly reccomend them v^.^) Like rainbow_dancer said they have the elastic on them, but it is a very narrow elastic band. If you're wearing a wig it wouldn't be seen anyway because it would be under your wig over your wig cap like she already said.

If you want that but no elastic you can snip the elastic and glue on hair clips so you can clip it to your hair. A third option (which is used with the Catzia's Myu Tiaras is to use theatrical glue (or spirt gum) to hold it in place.

Every so often I search the world wide web for anything new pertaining to
Sailor Moon. It's been a little while since I posted some Sailor Moon video
clips. But sometimes it takes a while before I have seen something or heard
anything to show everyone, by chance I found these to make you looky here!

WOOHOO!! rainbow_dancer *blushes* I'm glad you enjoy them aswell (hehe)

I have a couple more to put here. I love watching them to get some sort of
idea of what to do for a Masquerade Skit and to rid myself of stage fright(lol)

It's nice to see this thread up and running again! It's been so quiet over
the last week or so, and the anime con's I am attending...starting with
the first one of the year is Sakura Con in Seattle, Washington that begins
in 25 days and my costume is near completion. I was (originally) hoping to
go as Super Sailor Moon but both wig and my costume is not ready, so I'll
try to go as Super Sailor Moon and School Uniform Usagi sometime later on.

As far as the one's in Canada I plan on attending is Anime Evolution where
I live in British Columbia....in Burnaby on August 17-19. I'll have to Pre-Reg
for that one when I get back from Sakura Con, It's a small con compared
to most con's like Anime Expo or Anime North(Toronto, Ontario) which I'm
planning on attending in 2008, I hope to see many familar faces over there.

thanks !!! *watches videos* i was planning on going to the northern anime festival. or CNAnime festaval. ^_^ since i can't go into the brittish columbia area....if i recall...they speak french there. and i'm only a level 1 student. ^_^ so it wouldn't make much sence. blah. maybe i can convince mother....hehe. ^_^ well it looks like i can't talk much now...since the costume awaits my return.

oh! p.s. the perfect usagi shoes!!! they are caprezoes dance shoes for ball room or jazz i think...but they are absolutly perfect (in my opinion) for usagi or rei, or rini's shoes if painted red.

Well...there are many people who speak many languagse in BC yes...but I
don't speak French myself I speak Canadian as I've lived here all my life. If
you ever consider coming out to AnimeEvolution PM me about info and we'll
see what we can do. Oh and you might be interested to know I found a link
on how to make boot covers. Hopefully it might be able to help you out a bit.

http://www.limitbreakcosplay.com/FAQ_BootCovers.htm

Those are cute Usagi shoes you have....I think adding a criss cross strap
across the shoes would look very cute and stand out better (See pic's/links)

But if you should do Chibi Usa's shoes, don't forget about applying red bows.

I finished a new sailor fuku, so here I go filling out this survey again. I think this is the third time ^^;;.

Sera Myu Sailor Uranus

Did you use a figure skating uniform or t-shirt or leotard as a base?

I made my own pattern for the bodice. It was roughly based on that Butterick pattern everyone likes, but I had to edit the collar.

Is your collar attached or removable?

Since it's Myu, it has to be attached.

How does your collar attach/is it attached all the way around?

It's sewn on.

Where did you get the 'button' in the center of the bow?

My broach was a school project -- one of the first things I've designed in a 3-D program!

Did you stuff the piping around the skirt and sleeves with cotton fluff or batting?

The hiproll and sleeves were done with batting, and the glove puffies were done with fluff. I think it's easier to get a nice puffy look with tightly packed fluff, rather than quilting a bazillion layers of batting.

Where's you get the shoes?

The base character shoes are from Discount Dance (best prices on dance shoes I've ever found!) and the bootcovers are handmade from vinyl. They may be ugly, but they're accurate damnit!

What's your opinion on boot covers?

They're necessary for Myu costumes. But if you're doing any other version, it usually looks nicer to use boots instead of bootcovers.

How'd you make your tiara?

Wonderflex! It works really great for Myu tiaras. It's covered in the same material my front bow is made from.

Do you carry accesories with your costume?

Mmm, Space Sword XD.

Anime or manga?

Sera Myu :P. But I dunno. I like both the anime and manga. I'm more biased to the manga, though, because the costumes are shinier ^^;;.

What fabric types?

Super Spandex for the bodice, poly twill for the skirts/collar/etc, and tricot lame for bows and glove puffies. I have a feeling that the skirt fabric the actual productions used is something thicker than what I used, but ah well.

How much did it all cost?

O_o. . .ooooh, I'm not going there. But I will say two things. One, it was cheaper to make than my Myu Jupiter costume four years ago, even though Uranus is much more accurate. Two, I've been picking up materials here and there for almost a year, so even though it was an expensive costume it never broke the bank account ^_-.

Did you pleat your skirt?

YES. Oh man, don't make a Myu costume if you dislike pleats. . .and slaving away with an iron for two hours straight. Ugh! Thank goodness those pleats seem to be in there permanently.

Aww thanks rainbow_dancer I believe I payed $130 for my wig
and you should definitely PM/ask her about making you a new Chibi-Usa
wig. Instead of a bright pink one, you should look into maybe a soft pink
as a suggestion. Your old wig doesn't isn't half bad for a first attempt either.

Hope you have fun at your first con, Anime Detour right? You are so lucky
to be going there, I noticed a familiar voice actor I like will be attending there.

And Alexia I have to say that picture of you standing atop of Sailor
Iron Mouse is so cute. I can honestly say you make a sweet Sera Myu Jupiter!

yah. i bought the perky pig tail wig from amphoiry (sp?) its a very very light pink...i don't think it matches my complexion though...(dark skin...super light colored wig...XP it brings out every imperfection i have on my face...grr) but it'll have to work. $130. isn't too bad. ^_^ and if i provide her with 1/2 of the supplies it should be less...does she live in canada? *is the shipping* shipping is what kills you. >.<
