God, I'm going to miss this gym.
Haha this is intense man. Must have been quite an adrenaline rush! Also seconded going higher on the resistance for abs. 2000 crunches is impressive, the dedication that requires is simply amazing, but time is one of those things that is precious and results may be achieved faster with higher resistances.

Remember distances and times can be deceiving. Also the type of bike you ride plays a big difference (and if it is optimally set up to conform to your body specs!). Los Angeles is relatively flat compared to Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids I would imagine. There are some days I wished that Los Angeles was like SF, but alas... 45 miles hilly would be infinitely more
challenging!

You don't suck! Form over quantity! If at the end of day you're tired and gave it your all, you are awesome!

I try to do 500 before I take a break.(Last time I made it to 1000 before taking a break)

Usually I just view it as a game with the people around me doing crunches, seeing if I can outlast them. I usually can =)(Though one time there was this one guy who outlasted me. I got to 1150 and gave up). One of the keys is playing music that you really like.

At my 24 hour fitness, the machine i used to do crunches is called the "AbMachine".

They're the same at every 24 hour fitness I go to(I've been to 6 or 7)

35 minutes of repetitions? I can't imagine having that sort of dedication.

Hey guys, if you are exercising, make sure to control your carb intake too. Exercising wont really be that much of being effective if we don't control what we eat too.

Exactly. Also, another thing I was told is don't eat after 7PM.

That late-night snacking will completely cancel out any workouts you do.

This seems like a handy thread to stay motivated. I hope you guys don't mind if I start posting here! =)

Today I did three hours of bartitsu, an old-timey martial art. It was pretty good exercise for my calves and triceps. Tomorrow I'm going to shoot for a run.

Today got busy fast. No time to fit in a proper workout. On the plus side, it getting busy fast meant I did a ton of speedwalking. Probably two hours total. Being busy in Manhattan does that to you. No more energy for a run, but I'll do a few sets of crunches before bed.
