donttouchmymilk: thanks :3

I didn't work out yesterday as well. But today I start back up with my weight routine. It was nice actually having a day off where I didn't work or workout. I did walk around a bit though.

So I got to the gym today and I forgot my shoes so I went home and weights there. So I didn't end up lifting as heavy of weights but I did some other stuff.

Lunges 3x8: 40 lbs
push ups 3x10
dips (the kind with a ledge and your feet out in front of you): 20, 15
bicep curles 3x8: 20
lateral raise 3x8: 5
Vertical raise 3x8: 5
Bench 3x8: 40 lbs
Pull ups 3x3 (no weight assistance! GO ME)
Upright rows 3x8: 40
over head press 3x8: 20 lbs.
Deadlifts 3x8: 40 lbs

So mainly an upper body day. On Wednesday I will focus more on my legs.

15 leg lifts(each leg):completed
30 other leg.... things:completed
20 sit-ups:completed

Gonna do this twice a day.

i'm gonna start going for a walk everyday once i get my mp3 player back as well.

Yesterday I did my typically cardio. 30 minutes on my manual treadmill keeping my heart rate around 160-170
Planks x3: 1 minute each
40 mason twists.

I DIDN'T FORGET MY SHOES TODAY SO I GET TO GO TO THE GYM AND LIFT WEIGHTS! I'm going to try to pump up my bench press to 90 lbs today.

I don't think my gym would really appreciate me walking around without shoes on, liability issues and all.

Okay, this week's been a toughie. Got out on Wednesday for a five mile run, which went decently well. But my cold (which I really thought was on its way out), came back with a vengeance. I ended up having to go to urgent care and get some medicines to help get this thing under control. So my work out week, which was supposed to include a 5 mile run yesterday and a 6 mile run tomorrow, are halted for healing purposes. I really hate not getting out there to work out, but I have to let me body heal if I want to be ready for the half marathon in less than a month.

Thanks Slapthefatcat. I'm starting to feel a lot better. Walked about 2 miles Monday and Tuesday, and just got back from a 5.5 mile run! It felt great. Glad to be back out there.

Looking great Nikkiolie!

twas back day, decided to focus on lower lats to give my shoulders a break before push day. 8 sets of seated rows pulling the handle to hips. Followed with 4 sets of neutral grip lat pulldown. Left the gym early, disappointed now.

Ran 5 miles then walked another to get me home. Felt awesome. Now to relax so I'm ready for my 9 mile run Sunday. Nervous. I've never gone that far before!

No exercise today, but going to start doing a modified version of couch to 5k tomorrow (Sparkpeople's version). Also thinking of buying a barbell set and bench, any tips? Certainly leaning towards Olympic regulation and buying used.

Good luck with your couch to 5k training, Slapthefatcat! You can do it! I can't help with the barbell and bench quest, but I hope someone here can.

9 miles this morning! My longest ever. And it went extraordinarily well. My church is about 9 miles away from my house, so I just changed in their bathroom and ran home. Haha. It was still really tough, but I knew I could do it. That's a new feeling for me.
