Instructions on wefting hair

I finally got around to making it. (Aren't you all proud?) Now I just need to find my wig base pattern and make a guide for that... moving sucks.

You *ROCK* Gren...I hadn't even though of doing it with netting. My original idea involved bias tape which would end up bulky looking.

Smile Or for an alternative...

I've posted the "No Sew" method of making wefts on my site. ^_^

Wicked Katie!! Just curious but how do you go about putting in caulk wefts? All I can figure is sewing it in or caulking it in place.

Tack stitching.

That's the NEXT tutorial I'm putting up. I need to get better pictures, because the Sailor Pluto wig was so dark! >,<

Caulk doesn't work well for holding in wefts, because the weight causes it to stretch while it's drying. I usually just use polyester button thread, to attach the weft to the bands of the meshing. ^_^

Making my Sora Spikes involved sewing the hair into spirals, one for each spike. I recommend sewing the spirals with the weft at the center and the hair extending out, as it will look more natural when gathered.
