I hope they remember to post the same things in all three (and more) places!

Too many times I find out that something was posted one place but no other so I never found out - cross-posting is good for conventions!

The feed from facebook posts to all sites. But convention information is first posted on website and then to additional sites.

I've pretty much reconciled with myself that all CCs are a little slow in getting information out. Thank goodness for the ICG lists, or no one would know about the cons.

I'm considering doing a panel again. My thought is perhaps to do one on heat-shaping plastics and foam with irons, hair dryers, and heat guns. Would they let me use a heat gun in the hotel, do you think?

I just saw the list of winning Future Fashion Folio designs posted on the Costume Con LJ community. Congratulations to those who had designs selected! According to the post, the folios are expected to go out around the beginning of December.

Here's something new, thought I'd pass it along:

Masquerade Judging Simulation

After a Masquerade, have you ever wondered how the award decisions were
actually made? Hopefully, this workshop will give you some insight to that
process. It will approximate an actual masquerade experience, complete
with Masquerade Director, Master of Ceremonies, a "Fan Guest of Honor"
judge, scoring forms, "polaroids" and an audience.

Four volunteers for this exercise will act as judges for the masquerade at
"Bookercon" - an 1,800 member general SF convention which boasts a very
competitive costuming community that uses this venue as a test-run before
Worldcon and Costume-Con. (The "entries" will be actual video clips from
previous masquerades in the ICG Archives.)

Everyone is invited to enjoy the videos as the "in-house" audience and
observe the process. Following the decisions, there will be a post-mortem
and Q & A with the audience members.

A sign-up sheet for 4 names will be located at the Registration table on
Friday. Pre-requisites to participate: You must be able to commit to the
entire 90 minutes of the presentation. Preferably you will have judged no
more than 2 masquerades. Sign up will be on a first-come, first-served
basis.

A proto version of this was done out in Utah at cc-23 I think. There were some things I didnt care for with that version, and I think you have done a marvelous job restructuring it

Oh, I entirely forgot in all of my business this winter to submit a panel. I wasn't going to do four again like I did at CC28, but I was planning on doing one. I'm still not sure on what subject, though. When's the deadline?
