Other money draining hobbies?

Out of curiosity, how many of you fine folk have hobbies outside of cosplay that like to drain your bank account? I like making things, not necessarily to use, just enjoy the process of making them. So far, my wallet killing hobbies include:
-making kanzashi
-making my own bath products (lotions, scrubs, etc.)
-and I am debating whether I should start making my own soaps, learn embroidery, and take up knitting

As if those weren't enough, I also collect kimono, adore lolita fashion, buy books by the armful, and collect anime and manga.

I can't be the only one who throws money at the cashiers of Barnes & Noble/Hobby Lobby. Someone? Anyone?

I used to buy a lot of anime figures and other merchandise... I'm kind of getting out of it, but I am really wanting to collect more doujinshi. Also, it's not very bad for the wallet, but I love going to thrift stores and finding interesting stuff. Of course, a lot of the time, I'm just laughing at random, silly, old items, but I picked up an old camera at one... there's film available, but it's somewhat expensive, and is "experimental". One of the things that means is that the images fade away after a while, but I do really want to get some. I love using film.

Music and art. As a broke college student whose school is in the middle of nowhere unless you have a car, this is a killer.

I play guitar and I need $300 for a bass. I also sing but that's kind of free. In terms of art, well a tub of acrylic paint from Michael's is about $11.

Going to concerts is also pretty bad for me. I went to see the Aquabats, Reel Big Fish, Suburban Legends, and Koo Koo Kanga Roo a month ago or so and I got a little too much merch.
What's this for? It's a wig.
What's it for? To disguise yourself from yourself.

Magic: the Gathering. 'Nuff said.

Luckily, my husband's a certified judge and I'm thinking about becoming a tournament organizer. (I used to judge pretty heavily, but I found like the administrative side of tournaments much better.) When we help with tournaments, we usually get some free product as compensation. And our preferred play styles are different enough that we don't have to battle over the rarer cards.

I also collect doujinshi (and learning Japanese so I can read them).

And I have a pretty bad DVD-buying habit, though I tend to wait for sales before I go crazy.

Hmm, aside from cosplay, I have a pretty extensive video game collection, which is nearing about 150 or so now. Aside from that, I'm like Tigress with DVDs - I have a pretty growing collection of them. I also use to be a paintball fanatic, but haven't played for a while. I pretty much substituted it for cosplay since I can't afford both.

Japanese brand name clothing, namely Black Peace Now and stalking second-hand Lolita websites. My wallet suffers, even with sale discounts.

Ermm, the car? Yeh boys & their toy cars... Gets thumbs up when the guys in the same cosplay club see it (they don't know what the heck it is) when I arrive or am loading/unloading stuff into it. They think I look a bit out of place with it when I'm crossplaying though, it's such a boy racer car. Bit rare too since there was only 2500 of them built.

I drive one of these http://autospeed.com/cms/title_Mazda...6/article.html

motorcycles: street and dirt. My hubby and I have NO moderation when it comes to this and have had over 8 different bikes in our garage at a time. I even got rid of our dining room table so I coukd wrench on the bikes indoors over the winter.

Travel: We love to travel. Esp. by motorcycle and have toured most of the U.S. on 2 wheels. We really hope to travel abroad some day.

White water Kayaking: My hubby does this, but I'll be picking it up as well next year. When it's too hot in the south to ride bikes, we'll head to the water.
